What is a Design Center?
What are the requirements to become a Design Center?
Capital companies established to carry out design projects or design activities carried out on an order basis within the framework of a contract and having their legal or business headquarters in Türkiye, including the workplaces of limited taxpayer institutions in Türkiye;
- Organized as a separate unit within the organizational structure,
- Exclusively engaged in design activities domestically
- The structure that employs at least 10 full-time equivalent Design personnel is called the Design Center.
Companies carrying out design activities in Türkiye have the opportunity to benefit from the incentives and supports provided within the scope of Law No. 5746 and cash support programs.

Advantages of Being a Design Center
Law No. 5746, which entered into force in 2008, aims to support and encourage the production of technological knowledge, innovation in products and production processes, enhancement of product quality and standards, increase of productivity, reduction of production costs, commercialization of technological knowledge, development of pre-competitive collaborations, acceleration of the entry of technology-intensive production, entrepreneurship and investments in these areas and direct foreign capital investments into the country, and increase of employment of design personnel and qualified labor force in order to provide the country's economy with a structure that can compete at an international level through R&D, innovation and design.
Design Centers Incentives Under Law No. 5746:
Income and Corporate Tax Deduction (Design Deduction): All (100%) design expenses incurred in Design Centers are subject to deduction from the Corporate Tax Base in determining commercial profit.
Income Tax Exemption Applied to Wages and Social Security Employer Support:
- 80% - 90% - 95% Income Tax Exemption
- 50% Social Security Employer Share Incentive
- Stamp Duty Exemption
- Customs Duty Exemption
